If you’re a 12th-grade male student with a GPA of 2.8 or higher, planning to attend college or trade school, and meet the other criteria in Section 7—you’re ready to apply.
Now, here’s what you need to know about the essay:
The essay must be original, written by you, and not previously published or copyrighted.
Follow APA 7th Edition format and include at least three cited quotes related to the assigned topic.
Write in English, double-spaced, using black text only, with no graphics or colors.
Length must meet the words count per announcement (excluding the title and footnotes). Essays outside this range will be disqualified.
Submit your essay in both Microsoft Word and PDF formats.
You must sign the entry form, confirming the essay is your own and free from plagiarism. Plagiarism leads to disqualification.
A teacher, counselor, or parent may assist with grammar/spelling, but content must be yours.
Essays are judged only on written content—no oral presentation required.
All essays become the property of Lambda D-R-E-A-M Academy, which retains nonexclusive rights to use them to promote its programs.
Additional personal information (e.g., photo, SSN) may be requested during the contest.
Digital Submission Format:
All essays must be submitted digitally through the designated NLT 15 January 2026. Ensure your essay is uploaded in BOTH Microsoft Word and PDF formats.

Assistance and Review:
The final check involves your Chapter Sponsor/Mentor to ensure your application has been completed and they know you have submitted it.

Authorship: The essay must be your original work.
Information Sharing: By submitting your application, you grant Lambda D-R-E-A-M Academy the right to use your essay and application information for promotional purposes and to exercise full publishing rights.
Winners will be announced no later than February 2026, and all judging decisions are final. Essays must clearly address the assigned topic.
Winners must provide proof of high school enrollment at the time of submission and verification of college or trade school enrollment (not just acceptance) before scholarship funds are released.
Awards must be claimed within 12 months after the announcement date.
